Uncle Gary's Soldotna, AK

After our gem hunting, we drove back to Sandy's Uncle Gary's fishing place (cottage), in Soldotna. Gary prepared a super dinner of halibut, with smoked Salmon and all the fixens. We had an excellent meal, a walk around the area and an interesting discussion around the campfire. We had a nice leisurely breakfast waiting for the day to warm up. The salmon were not running that day so we did not get to go on one of Uncle Gary's famous fishing trips but he did take us out for a boat ride on the Kenai river. It was a beautiful day!! After our boat ride, we had some of Q's delicious home made chili for lunch. We chatted for a while and then started back to Anchorage. Click on any of the thumbnail pictures to see an expanded view.
