BWCA 2009

Wildlife

These are a selection of pictures of the wildlife we saw while traveling in the BWCA. We also saw three adult Moose at the same time and a Weasel but were not fast enough with the camera to get their pictures. There were many loons and ducks too. Almost every evening we were treated to hear the loons calling to each other and one night we were even serenaded by owls. Interestingly enough, although we saw tons of deer tracks on the portages, we did not see any deer this trip. There were too many little red squirrels to even bother with.
