Barges

Row 1 and Row 2 pictures 1 and 2, barge "parking" or fleeting areas out into the river and along the shore line. Row 2 picture 3, barge construction facility. The new green barge is about to be slid down into the water for the first time. Row 3 picture 1, shows the three styles of "dry goods" barges: flat on both ends, pointed on both ends and pointed on one end. These can have covers or not. In this case they have no covers and are empty as they are riding so high in the water. Row 4 pictures 2 and 3, show floating mooring points. Coal is being loaded in the last picture.
