Getting Started

We spent several weeks proir to our departure determining how best to package our equipment for convenience and to keep it dry. We also had a serious concern about keeping the canoe as buoyant as possible since we knew we would be riding very low in the water. The solution was to use the Sterilite tubs and secure them inside the canoe so that even if we took on water, we would still be very buoyant. The tubs also proved to be very handy as tables and work surfaces while in camp.
