Avenue of the Giants

These are a selection of pictures on and around theAvenue of the Giants in Northern California. The Avenue of the Giants is a scenic 31-mile drive on a portion of old Highway 101, which parallels Freeway 101 with its 51,222 acres of redwood groves. It is by far the most outstanding display of giant redwood trees in the entire 500 mile redwood belt in California. Pat and I bicycled on the Avenue of the Giants during our West Coast Bicycle Trip in 2002 and wanted to re-vistit this beautiful area with Natalie.
