PCT Section B

San Jacinto Peak.

These are a selection of pictures taken during a side trip to climb San Jancito Peak at 10,834 feet. Row 1 is pictures of the ascent to the peak from the PCT. Picture 3 shows the top of the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway that can be accessed from the East side of the mountains and carries passenges to about 8600 feet. From there, a series of trails can be taken by the less ambitious to get to the summit of San Jacinto. Row 2 shows the emergency rescue shelter near the summit.
