Cape Hatteras Ferries

We had to take two different ferries while traversing Cape Hatteras. The first one was much larger than the second. The first took about 2 hours and 40 minutes to go from Cedar Island, NC to Ocracoke, NC. The second took about 40 minutes to go from the East end of Ocracoke Island to Hatteras, NC. Neither of the ferries had provisions to tie down our scooters. On the second ferry, the conditions got so bad that I stayed with the scooters in the rain and wind to make sure they would not tip over.
