Our Grandchildren Aythan and Elise turned 4 and 2 years old respectively in early July. We had a party and the kids helped to make their own cakes. Pictures can be accessed by clikcing on "Our Grandchildren" under the Family menu button.
We have put off our East Coast Bike Trip that was originally planned for 2008 and are now targeting 2009. Instead, we are thinking about a couple shorter (week to 10 day) local bicycling trips throughout the summer to save a few dollars for next year's BIG trip. We are not sure if we will go ahead as planned with the 7-10 day hiking trip in Medicine Bow National Forest in Wyoming in late summer, the gas situation being what it is. We will keep every one posted.
We went out to San Mateo, CA to visit our daughter Natalie and her husband Andy in early May. Time permitting, I should have those pictures on the website in a couple weeks and they will be under the "Family" menu button. Check back when convenient. It was an intersting trip as we re-traced by car, part of the route we took on our 2002 Western Bicycle Trip through the "Avenue of the Giants" in Northern California and along the coast on Highway 1.
