Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore - Log Slide

This area is unique in that there are 300 foot sand dunes along the edge of the Lakeshore. When this area was logged in the early 1900s, the logs were dragged to the top of the dune in this location and slide down into the lake were they were formed into large collections and towed by boat to the place they were processed.
