Pipestone, MN and Oacoma and Philip, SD

Our first stop was the Pipestone National Monument in Pipestone, MN. Pipestone (Catlinite) is the sacred red clay stone that American Indians use for making prayer and ceremonial pipes. We traveled on to Oacoma, SD and stopped for the night. The next morning, we traveled on to Philips, SD to visit the Minuteman Missle National Historic Site.
